My understanding of health psychology and how the brain affects the body somatically is something that I help others learn and understand. It is a passion for me to help others connect to the mind,  the body, and the spirit of ourselves.

Dede has over two decades of experience. She specialized in clinical therapy within the Adult Psych Outpatient program at Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville. Her practice at True North Clinical Associates encompasses individual and family sessions, and educational instruction focusing on effective coping strategies for mental health challenges.
Dede collaborates closely with psychiatrists to support clients in understanding their medication management.

Her approach to counseling is demonstrated through warmth and a welcoming demeanor, encouraging clients to comfortably express themselves by lowering protective barriers. She employs a direct and honest therapeutic style, utilizing diverse treatment modalities tailored to each client’s specific objectives and needs.

Passionate about client empowerment and wellbeing, Dede specializes in mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, as well as grief counseling, life transitions, and holistic health integration. Her dedication to instilling hope and fostering self-esteem in her clients underscores her commitment to their holistic recovery.

Dede holds a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from National Lewis University, conferred in 2000. She served as an adjunct professor in the psychology department at National Lewis University from 2000 to 2004. Dede’s professional journey continued as she joined True North Clinical Associates in 2004, where she has since contributed significantly to the field of mental health.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dede is a breast cancer survivor and advocate. Her personal triumphs and participation in the Avon Breast Walk in 2012 enriched her ability to support clients and families navigating major illnesses, offering guidance through treatment while fostering resilience and optimism.
